Kimiyoshi Kazuho (公由 一穂) is the main character of the gacha game, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei. She is the granddaughter of Kimiyoshi Kiichirō, the mayor of Hinamizawa and part of the Kimiyoshi House, though in reality she is an orphan, due to losing her entire family during the Great Hinamizawa Disaster.
Character Summary[]
As of yet, not much is known about Kazuho. As of 1993, she lives in a dormitory as an orphan, supported by a distant relative after losing her entire family in 1983. In Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Mei, she decides to visit the abandoned Hinamizawa village, but suddenly mysterious monsters (Tsukuyami) start chasing her. She is saved by Tamurahime no Mikoto, who gives her supernatural powers to defend herself and instructs her to enter the Saiguden. There, Kazuho travels back in time to the Hinamizawa of 1983. With the help of numerous characters, Kazuho decides to uncover the truth behind the mysterious monsters and the death of her family in the disaster of 1983.
Personality[]
Kazuho is a timid girl, suffering from depression over losing her family 10 years ago. She's quick to apologize and tries to avoid conflict if she can. According to her character bio, she loves Japanese foods.
Etymology[]
- Kazuho means "one ear" (一穂).
Trivia[]
- Kazuho wears the exact same school uniform as Sonozaki Shion, meaning that she is a student at St. Lucia Academy
