The three bikers

The three bikers

The Motorcycle Gang serve as a stereotypical collective antagonist for some of the main characters in the series. A character knocks over their motorcycles in a "motorcycle domino" which triggers their ire. This basic sequence occurs in a number of the "time fragments" or chapters in the series.

Members[]

Motorrad Gang.-Manga

The gang consist of three young men:

  • Heavy-Set Guy
  • Guy with Massive Anime Pompador
  • Guy with Hair Shaved into a Manji Symbol

they serve as stereotypical bullies who use the excuse of damage to their bikes to threaten and try to extort various characters. In the sound novel version of Meakashi-hen, it become clear that they stole the bikes. They wear high school uniforms open as stereotypical "delinquents."

Summary[]

The gang appears first in Watanagashi-hen when Keiichi accidentally knocks over their bikes. the bikers immediately threaten Keiichi, but Shion, who calls them "punks" in the sound novel, saved him when her and villagers from Okinomiya confront them. Shion conveys the idea that the Hinamizawa villagers all stick together to protect against enemies.

In Meakashi-hen, Shion takes the place of Keiichi. However, she does not accidentally knock over the bikes; she kicks them out of anger. When the bikers confront her, Satoshi comes to her rescue. He gets punched, but a police officer who was called by a villager saves him. One year after, she is saved by Keiichi.

In Musubienishi-hen, Keiichi falls on the bikes and the gang confronts him. This time, Shion intervenes. When they attempt to attack Shion, Kasai arrives. With one look from him, the gang runs to their bikes and flee.

In the manga version of Minagoroshi-hen, they wanted to fight Keiichi too, and this time Rena and Mion come to his aid to no avail. Rika also comes to help, and when one of the bikers tried to beat her, two Yamainu soldiers arrive to stop them. In the anime version, like Shion, Rika intentionally kicks their bikes to show Hanyū that she is protected all time by the Yamainu.

In Tokihogushi-hen, Detective Minai Tomoe notices the gang on her visit to Okinomiya. They are seen harassing an obviously intimidated Kimiyoshi Natsumi, trying to invite her on a date with them. Tomoe uses her skills in martial arts to save Natsumi and the two of them become friends afterwards. Tomoe notes that such gangs are old-fashioned and a rare sight in more urban localities.
